What's your craft?
Bellezza means "beauty" and I believe you can find beauty everywhere. An abandoned board game, hardware left in a shed, clothes that someone has grown out of or are no longer useful in their current form, keys that no longer have anything to unlock are all items I give a second chance at beauty.

B.B. Bellezza focuses on handcrafted jewelry and also makes coasters from discarded ceramic tiles and dolls from recycled clothing.

My inspiration comes from nature and the mission of B.B. Bellezza is to leave the Earth at least as good as I found it, if not better.

Booth at Building Character/Craft Show Tip

I sort of rearranged my Booth at Building Character again. The same main big elements (i.e. tables, shelves) are the same, but I have rearranged some of the products around and changed displays.
I really like taking photos of it because I can more objectively see how others may perceive it.… Continue

Hey Kim! I wanted you to take a look at something relevant to what you said about possibly doing a craft show here in Pittsburgh. The South Side Works Exposed Artists Show for 2009 is being conducted in July - its three days. This is a link to an ad that was run for last year's event. http://www.southsideworks.com/documents/SSWExposedPressRelease08.pdf - this is a juried show - so you will have to forward a few pics of your "best" work. I have never done this event, but I did apply this year. I applied under their "starving artists" category and hoping (praying) that not only will I pass the jury - but also will be sponsored. I think the event is $200 and higher - depending opon each artists situation - which is a little high for me just because my stuff is pretty inexpensive. I don't want to have to jack up my prices like $15.00 per set just to cover the entrance fee. To apply, you must go through a site called I Made It Market - (Imadeitmarket.com). And you will see the thread to apply. Maybe we could both get in - steal each others customers - then pelt beads at each other . . . sound fun? haha Catch up with ya soon, Laura

Hi BB - what's up? It's always cool to meet like minded crafters ;). A few years ago, I actually had the chance to breeze by Lancaster - sort of got lost and had to spend the night in a motel there. We have a nomadic indie craft show type thing down here in Pittsburgh also - its called the "I Made It Market." It doesn't take place monthly yet, but I believe it is catching on little by little. I love fresh new ideas when it comes to creating something. Your jewelry is very hip. I wanted to do something a little different also - so I put natural gemstones on memory wire as opposed to the more traditiional chain or jewelry wire. Sometimes just a little twist can add some unexpected flavor. Well, good to meet you. Happy crafting . . . . Laura

I like your jewelry, especially all the found objects! Love the monopoly house bracelet. And if you ever need more keys, I have a huge (and very heavy) box of keys. Mostly very plain, but I'm willing to share!
